Honolulu Roadblock and Speed Trap Map

“If you enemy is in superior strength, evade him…”

– Sun Tzu.

The Honolulu Police Department is required by law to announce Honolulu roadblocks. In addition, they often brag about “speed operations” and mass traffic arrests. The Landsberg Law Office takes these reports and combines them with any other public information about Honolulu roadblocks. Finally, just from being in court, we add in sites of Honolulu roadblocks and speed traps that all defense attorneys are well aware of.

On the above map the sum total of all of these sources. The purpose is manyfold:

  1. You can see graphically where the police are (and are not) pulling people over.
  2. You can see if you are part of a mass stop, which may entitle you to different rights or defenses than an ordinary stop.
  3. When there is one problem at these stops, quite often it affects other stops made in the same location.
  4. 4th and most importantly, it should warn you that police are PULLING PEOPLE OVER everywhere, and that you should both SLOW DOWN and DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.

About the Honolulu Roadblock and Speed Trap Map

Please share this information with your friends and update us with any information you have. The goal is to make this a page we all can contribute to and rely upon for recent Roadblock information. To start a Roadblock, the Honolulu Police Department must first advocate it, and second maintain it for less than three hours. That means it cannot move quickly, and once we find it, we can help each other avoid costly legal troubles.
